About Us
SIX Architecture + Design Ltd (SIX AD) was formed on 2nd July 2009 by our Director, Kris Barry. Our roots as a practice stretch back to 1995. Our design experience is tempered with state-of-the-art Building Information Modelling capabilities to develop schemes that exceed our clients expecations.
SIX AD specialises in providing high quality architecture, design, consultancy and project management services to clients in a range of sectors. Our website is categorised in two distinct sections; Residential + Commercial. The Residential section contains information that is primarily relevant to private domestic / residential projects. The Commercial section contains information relating to projects in large scale residential, education, commercial, industrial and healthcare sectors. We believe that Architecture is about more than design + building materials. Architecture is about understanding people and shaping the environment to meet needs in a responsible way. SIX AD is founded on six guiding principles.

Our passion for design is our leading principle. We believe that beauty can be expressed in the function of objects, including buildings. Simplicity in form and function leads to a more intuitive experience for the end-user and a closer sense of connection with their environment. As a creative and dynamic practice, we explore alternatives to the accepted or conventional approach.

This is expressed in considering the uses of the building throughout its predicted lifecycle, but also in choosing building materials that exceed minimum performance standards and that provide options when the time comes to renew, re-use or recycle.
